Laguna bet wins MassKara 2018 photo contest

THE entry of Jervie Lazaro of Sta. Cruz, Laguna bested 152 other photos in the MassKara Festival 2018 “Kari sa MassKara, Dala Camera” photo contest managed by the Camera Club of Negros (CCN).

Lazaro will receive P30,000 and a Fujifilm XA-10 camera.

Matt Prince Parreñas of Silay City, Negros Occidental was adjudged second placer and Michol Sanchez of Minglanilla, Cebu won third place.

Parreñas and Sanchez will receive P20, 000 and P10, 000, respectively.

Wilfredo Lumagbas Jr. won the online poll for People’s Choice Award. He will receive a Fujifilm Instax Mini 9 camera.

Winners must bring their identification documents to claim their prizes at the MassKara Office in San Juan Street, Bacolod City. They may also contact CCN to assist them.

Judges were RJ Lacson who has a film degree from New York University and is in advertising, print, and multimedia for local and international clients; Bamboo Tonogbanua, one of the most prolific visual artists of Bacolod. He is behind Bacolod’s first Christmas Village that is still open until now; and La-arni Aguilar, communications consultant for Congressman Albee Benitez and formerly communications and human resource officer for SMC Bacolod.
