THE Provincial Legal Office has cleared former provincial treasurer Nilda Generoso of alleged illegal removal of government documents from her office in the evening of November 26, 2020.

Lawyer Alberto Nellas Jr. provincial legal officer, said Tuesday, January 12, there was no prima facie evidence against Generoso.

Nillas earlier issued a show cause order against the former provincial executive to file a formal administrative case against Generoso.

He said acting provincial treasurer Amy Grace Bolivar has issued a certification that the documents removed would not hamper the operations of her office.

Nillas also said that in her reply to the order, Generoso said that she did not authorize the job order employee to dispose documents from her office.

"We will also issue a show cause order to the concerned employee to explain her side. We also recalled the suspension of her clearance to process her retirement benefits," Nillas said.
