Man faces murder raps for killing jeepney driver

A MAN is facing murder charges for killing a jeepney driver at Barangay Sampinit in Bago City, Negros Occidental on Tuesday, June 19.

Senior Inspector Hercules Trigue Jr., deputy chief for administration of Bago City Police Station, said the criminal complaint against Franc Alvarez Sr., 46, of Barangay Lag-asan, was filed before the Bago City Prosecutor’s Office around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20.

On June 19, 37-year-old Marlon Sixto of Barangay Taloc was allegedly shot to death by Alvarez at Crossing Camatis in Barangay Sampinit.

Meanwhile, Trigue said the woman was released from police custody after the filing of the case against Alvarez.

Police investigation showed that she has no participation and involvement in the crime committed by her alleged partner, whom she only met when the latter used to work at their house as an electrician, Trigue added.

Trigue also said that Alvarez refused to give his comment on the incident. (GYM)
