Man killed by motorcycle-riding gunmen in Sagay

A MAN was killed by motorcycle-riding gunmen on Thursday, May 2 in Sagay City, Negros Occidental.

Based on the report of the Sagay City Police Station, the victim was identified as Christian Analucas, 36, and resident of Barangay Paraiso, Sagay City.

The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. Thursday at National Highway of Purok Commercial, Barangay Paraiso.

Police investigation showed the victim, while standing along the highway and engaging in conversation with his father-in-law and his uncle, was shot several times by unidentified men riding-in-tandem on a motorcycle armed with unknown caliber.

The suspects fled away towards Cadiz City direction. The victim was hit on different parts of his body and was brought to Lopez District Hospital, Sagay City for immediate treatment but, declared dead on arrival by the attending physician Dr Carlos Javier Premicias.

Recovered from the crime scene were three pieces empty shell of Cal .45 and one piece of deformed slug.

The Sagay PNP is still determining the motive behind the killing. (TDE)
