Minor, 3 others arrested in Bacolod drug busts

A MINOR and three others were arrested in separate drug bust operations in Bacolod City in the past two days.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), said Irene Teorica and her two companions were arrested by operatives of Police Station 6 after they sold a sachet of “shabu” or methamphetamine hydrochloride to a police undercover at Purok Mainuswagon, Barangay 30, at about 3 a.m., Monday, October 14.

Recovered from the suspects’ possession were nine sachets of shabu with an estimated market value of P15,000, and the P200 marked money.

Pico said the suspects were under surveillance for almost a month before their arrest.

He said the female minor, whose name is being withheld, was also arrested by operatives of Police Station 4 at Galo-Lopez Jaena streets, Barangay 33, at around 5:35 p.m., Sunday, October 13.

Recovered from the minor’s possession four sachets of shabu with an estimated market value of P15,000, and the 500 marked money.

The minor was endorsed to the Social Development Center, while three other suspects were detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 6 and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
