Minor hurt in stabbing incident

A SIXTEEN-YEAR-OLD boy was injured after he was stabbed on Malaspina Street, Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City on Friday afternoon, November 22.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) spokesperson, said the victim (name withheld for being a minor) sustained wounds on his back and shoulder after being stabbed by the suspect, identified as Lino Aguilar, for unknown reasons.

The victim was brought to the Riverside Medical Center, while Aguilar fled.

Investigation revealed that the victim, who with his friends, was standing along Malaspina when the suspect attacked him using a knife at 4:52 p.m.

Pico said Police Station 4 is currently conducting a follow-up operation to arrest the suspect.

Meanwhile, a man was found dead inside his toilet at Teres Homes 1 Subdivision, Barangay Taculing, Bacolod City on Sunday morning, November 24.

Police record showed that the victim was found dead by his brother-in-law and members of the homeowner association inside his toilet.

Police said that last May 2018, the victim suffered a heart attack.

The Scene of the Crime Operatives (Soco) is currently conducting further investigation on the incident.
