Capitol ready to give additional bonuses to employees

NEGROS Occidental Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz II said Tuesday, November 2, that they are ready to give additional or extra bonus for Capitol employees this December.

"With all the hardships experienced by our employees this year due to the pandemic, especially those who have gotten sick with coronavirus disease (Covid-19), and to maintain the delivery of better service, the bonuses are expected to perk up their spirit," Diaz said.

When asked how much the bonuses would be, he said it would be better if they can give a higher or same amount last year but he assured that it would not be lower.

Diaz added that Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson will personally make the announcement once the budget is ready and has been approved by the Provincial Board.

The provincial administrator reiterated that they have already prepared the bonus, although it is yet to be presented to the governor for his approval.

He said the province received a lot of awards this year that could further provide support as to the bonuses to be handed out to the employees.

The bonuses to be received by employees will include the Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA), Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI), and Incentive Benefit for Exemplary Service (IBES).

Last year, Capitol employees received a total of P40,000 each as extra bonus.

They will receive their 14th month pay this November.
