THE Negros Occidental Provincial Police Office (Nocppo) is ready for the opening of classes on June 3, 2019.

Nocppo Director Romeo Baleros said they have activated the Oplan Ligtas Balik-Eskwela, which outlines the execution of security preparation to ensure the safety of the students, parents and teachers against criminal elements who may take advantage of the situation.

He said police assistance desks will also be established on the entrance of schools, as well as on areas of convergence to deter criminal activities.

Baleros advised the parents or guardians to be very vigilant and watchful to ensure that their students, especially the young ones, will not be victimized by lawless elements, especially that other illegal drug personalities use the students as courier of illegal drugs.

"I warn the criminals, stop your wicked acts or you will be met by the full force of the law," he said.
