SOME Negros Occidental and Bacolod City officials attend the 4th State of the Nation Address of President Rodrigo Duterte held at the Batasan Complex in Quezon City on July 22.

The provincial officials were led by the congressmen and congresswomen in the province namely Bacolod City Lone District Rep. Greg Gasataya, 1st District Gerardo Valmayor, 2nd District Leo Rafael Cueva, 3rd District Rep. Jose Francisco Benitez, 4th District Rep. Juliet Marie Ferrer, 5th District Rep. Ma. Lourdes Arroyo, 6th District Genaro Alvarez and Abang Lingkod Rep. Stephen Joseph Paduano.

During the election of the new House Speaker, majority of the Negros solons voted for 1st District, Taguig City/Pateros Alan Peter Cayetano.

Meanwhile, Senator Vicente Sotto III was reelected as Senate President. (CNC)
