“ONE is enough.”

This was stressed by Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Lacson, saying that the virtual debate held recently may be the last one he will participate in.

At the virtual town hall debate organized by the University of the Philippines-Law Alumni Association Negros Occidental Chapter, Philippine Daily Inquirer and the University of St. La Salle on Saturday, January 15, Lacson faced off against his challanger former Bacolod congressman and city administrator lawyer John Orola.

"The objective is to win the election and it can be done in some other way," Lacson emphasized.

The debate was in a town hall format where the participants answered questions from representatives of different sectors and from the public.

Lacson said he is "not comfortable with debates and it did not help that we were given one minute to answer."

"That would be the only debate I will [participate] in for this election," Lacson said, shooting down the possibility that he will participate in other debates during the campaign period.
