P10,000 'shabu' seized in Barangay Sum-ag

AN ESTIMATED P10,000 worth of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) was seized in a drug bust in Purok Sto. Niño, Barangay Sum-ag, Bacolod City Wednesday morning, June 19.

The operation, conducted by personnel of Police Station 9, also led to the arrest of Rommel Salarda, a resident of Bacolod.

Police Major Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office, said the suspect was caught selling shabu to a police undercover at 12:05 a.m.

Police recovered from Salarda's possession three sachets of shabu and the P100 marked money.

The suspect is detained at the custodial of Police Station 9 and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
