AN ESTIMATED P224, 000 worth of suspected drugs was seized in two separate drug bust operations in Negros Occidental on January 13.

In Bacolod City, Pedro Gumban Jr., 41, of Silay City; and Joy Pelino, 18, of Cadiz City were arrested at the southbound terminal in Lopez Jaena Street for alleged sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs.

Police recovered from them six sachets of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) weighing 15.8 grams worth P189, 000 and P4,700 in cash.

In Pontevedra town, Mageoles Salhay, 46, of Barangay Miranda was collared in the said village for the same offense.

He is a newly-identified drug personality.

The operation resulted in the confiscation of five sachets of suspected shabu worth P35, 000, the P500 marked money, a cellular phone, and a lighter.
