AN ESTIMATED P30,000 worth of suspected shabu or methamphetamine hydrochloride was seized in a drug bust conducted by operatives of Police Station 1 at Purok Calachuchi, Barangay 2, Bacolod City Sunday, September 29.

The operation also led to the arrest of two drug personalities identified as Adrian Pelayo, 32, of Barangay 9, and Kevin John Guinalon, 45, of Pagla-um Village, Bacolod City.

Police Major Jovil Sedel, chief of Police Station 1, said the suspects were arrested after they sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a police undercover at about 12:30 a.m.

Recovered from the suspects’ possession were 12 sachets of suspected shabu, the P300 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

Sedel said Pelayo was identified as high value target and was operating along his friend Guinalon.

He said the suspects were under surveillance for almost a month before their arrest.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 1 and are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
