AN ESTIMATED P50,000 worth of illegal drugs was seized from a minor in a drug bust conducted by personnel of Police Station 2 at San Juan Street, Purok Lampirong, Barangay 2, Bacolod City Saturday afternoon.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office, said the 16-year-old boy, whose name is being withheld, was arrested after he sold a sachet of methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as “shabu,” to a police undercover around 3:50 p.m.

Police recovered from the minor’s possession nine sachets of shabu, the P1,000 marked money, and drug paraphernalia.

Pico said the suspect was considered as street level target in Bacolod City. He was under surveillance for almost a month before his arrest.

The suspect was already endorsed to the Social Development Center for the custody.
