REPRESENTATIVE Alejandro Mirasol (5th district, Negros Occidental) is funding P60 million worth of projects in Binalbagan before he ends his term on June 30.

Mirasol, who is now eyeing a comeback as mayor of Binalbagan, will fund P7 million worth of projects through the Department of Labor and Employment and another P3 million for the Binalbagan Infirmary.

Ongoing projects in the fifth district funded by Mirasol total P50 million. They constitute various multi-purpose buildings at the Tagda Elementary School, Cansalongon Elementary School, Amin Elementary School, San Jose Elementary School, Isabela East Elementary School and several concreting of road projects.

Mirasol, who is supposed to have one term left as congressman of the fifth district, opted not to seek re-election and give way to presumptive congresswoman Marilou Arroyo- Lesaca, who is the sister of the late congressman Ignacio “Iggy” Arroyo.

Mirasol has served as mayor of Binalbagan for three terms prior to his election as congressman. (TDE)
