A PICKPOCKET suspect was arrested by operatives of Police Station 9 on Rizal Street, Purok Santan Ville, Barangay Sum-ag, Bacolod City Tuesday morning, July 2.

Police identified the suspect as Josefa Candido, 41, of Barangay Sto. Nino, Arevalo, Iloilo.

Police Captain Jun Ray Batadlan, chief of Police Station 9, said Candido was arrested after she was caught stealing the pouch of Elsa Dulla, 75, of Bago City around 9:45 a.m.

Police recovered from Candido’s possession the victim’s pouch containing P5, 760 cash.

The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 9 and is facing theft charges.
