THE Bacolod City Police Station 3 has been facing difficulty in identifying the perpetrators behind the killing of Lino Cuadra Jr. at the Northbound Terminal in Barangay Bata, Bacolod City Friday evening, March 12, 2021.

Police Lieutenant Jesse Lepana, deputy chief of Police Station 3, on Sunday said they have no lead yet on the identities of the assailants, whom they claimed to be not less than three armed men.

Cuadra, 62, of Purok Sigay, Barangay 2 sustained multiple gunshot wounds when unidentified assailants fired at him several times around 6:40 p.m.

Police recovered from the scene of the crime 22 empty shells of a .45 caliber revolver.

Lepana said Cuadra was waiting for a public utility jeepney when unidentified assailants, onboard a sports utility vehicle, fired at him.

He said the victim had no record in Police Station 3, but they are still conducting further investigation to determine the motive behind the killing.

He added based on the statement of the family of the victim, the victim did not receive any threat.

Lepana said they are still looking for a possible witness to identify the suspects and they will also check security cameras in the area.
