THE Rotary Club of Bacolod South (RCBS) is commemorating its golden anniversary with Rotary International Director Rafael “Raffy” Garcia III as its inducting officer tonight at the Sugarland Ballroom.

Garcia, a multi-awarded Information Technology expert and founder of the conglomerate Mega Group of Computer Companies, has been a Rotarian since 1971 and has served in prominent roles in the organization both in the Philippines and worldwide.

Among his achievements are building the largest Rotary-assisted housing projector for informal settlers in the Philippines and being among a handful of Filipinos to lead Rotary as part of its diverse international team of top executives.

Notably, Garcia was also Chairman of the Philippine College of Rotary Governors in 2015-2016, a position previously held by former Negros Occidental assemblyman and undersecretary Antonio “Tony” Gatuslao whose 75th birthday is being celebrated by RCBS.

Gatuslao, a stalwart of RCBS since 1974, had served as club president and governor of District 3850. (PR)
