San Carlos donates firefighting equipment

THE local government of San Carlos City through the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO) in the observance of the Fire Prevention Month donated firefighting equipment to San Carlos City Filipino-Chinese Volunteer Fire Fighters, Inc. (SCCFCVFFI) Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at the City Hall lobby.

City Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo handed over the equipment to Dionesio Go, fire chief of SCCFCVFFI, which include two sets of 1.5 inches Nozzle PistolGrip, one set of 2.5 inches Nozzle Pistol Grip, four pieces of 1.5 fire hose by 50 feet and two pieces of 2.5 fire hose by 50 feet.

CDRRM Officer Joe Recalex Alingasa Jr. said this was the first time that the said group received firefighting equipment from the city and very timely with the observance of Fire Prevention Month. This was a way of acknowledging their volunteerism and them helping the community, especially in times of calamity.

He also added that this year, they plan to conduct refresher courses for Basic Life Support and first aid training for volunteers. (PR)
