A SEXAGENARIAN died after he was hit by three vehicles and was ran over at Araneta Street, Barangay Sum-ag, Bacolod City Sunday evening.

Police identified the fatality as Eduardo Enriquez, 62, of Purok Magayon, Barangay Sum-ag.

Police Captain Jun Ray Batadlan, chief of Police Station 9, said the victim was crossing at Araneta Street when he was hit by a motorcycle at about 8:40 p.m.

He said the victim fell on the ground and he was hit again by a Ceres Bus then, a tricycle, all travelling from Bacolod towards the south.

The victim died on the spot.

Batadlan said the driver of the bus voluntarily surrendered at the station while the driver of the motorcycle and tricycle fled.

He said there’s a possibility that the drivers failed to notice the victim because the area was dark.

Batadlan disclosed that they already secured a copy of the closed circuit television (CCTV) camera in the area to identify the driver of the motorcycle and tricycle who will be charged for reckless imprudence resulting to homicide.
