"MY VACCINE against Covid-19 is a big help for my fast recovery."

This was stressed by Dr. Chris Sorongon, deputy for medical data and analysis of Emergency Operations Center (EOC), Monday, April 11, after he was discharged from the hospital.

Sorongon, who earlier tested positive for coronavirus, said he is now okay and is doing work from home.

He said the Covid-19 vaccine is a big help because he has co-morbidity.

He added that he underwent convalescent plasma therapy and was given Remdesivir and Dexamethasone medicines, among others.

Sorongon was earlier inoculated with the Sinovac vaccine and he is scheduled to take the second dose of the vaccine after three months.

Sorongon said his three children also tested positive for the virus along with their helper. All of them were asymptomatic.

He said the Covid-19 cases are still alarming and the public should always observe the health protocols.

"We should not be complacent because Covid is still there. We should always observe the social distancing, wearing of face masks and face shields and avoid holding social gatherings to prevent the spread of the virus," he added.
