Tattoo Fest at SMX Bacolod slated

SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City will host, for the first time, the 5th Tattoo Festival on February 23 and 24.

The activity from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. will be held at Function Room 1 of the convention center.

Variety of activities are scheduled in the two-day event, from tattoo competition, car and bike show to tattoo supplies, among others.

“Public must not miss out on the events highlights and nightly performers,” SMX Convention Center, in a press release, said, adding that they will experience out of the box art from different tattoo artists during the on-the-spot inking competition for professional and non-professional categories.

There’s also a pre-made tattoo competition from small to large sizes.

Audience will be treated to a fest of music every night featuring Bacolod’s homegrown artists namely Spending Pendulum, Christian Ligaya, Martin Miravelles, Aero, Cali Island Acoustic, DJ Mark Mira, and Bach St.

Also, there will be a display of cars and bikes from THDM Elites Zone Bacolod and SCP Bacolod Elites.

Featured Barber Shops included Franco Aviso of TUF Barber Shop of Cebu City and Edwin Poblacion of Backyard Cuts of Silay City. Daily awarding ceremony will start at 8 p.m., it added.

The event is organized by SMX Convention Center Bacolod and Kitchen Dance and Events, the organizers of the original Art Fest – Tattoo Convention and a freelance event organizing company established in 2014 specializing in handling dance and creative events that commonly features lifestyle trends and novelty.

The entrance fee for the event is at P100. Competition registration fee is P3,000 for two days and P300 per category.
