A THEFT suspect was arrested by operatives of Police Station 7 at PNP Village, Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City Thursday, September 26.

Police identified the suspect as Ryan Felizares, 29, of Hacienda Anita, Barangay Concepcion, Talisay City.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ariel Pico, spokesperson of Bacolod City Police Office, said Felizares was arrested after he was caught stealing the fighting cocks of Roberto Acaling, 67, at about 9:30 a.m.

Police recovered from Felizares’ possession two fighting cocks worth P70,000.

The suspect is detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 7 and facing theft charges.

Meanwhile, three persons were arrested by operatives of Police Station 7 for illegal gambling at Bangga Pana-ad, Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City Wednesday.

Police identified the suspects as Hendran Joseph Espinosa, 25, Allan Antiquetar Jr., 20, and Wilfredo Sabordo, 21, all residents of Barangay Mansilingan.

Pico said the suspects were arrested after they were caught playing cara y cruz at about 1:30 a.m.

Police recovered from the suspects’ possession three cue coins, and P148 bet money.

The suspects are detained at the custodial facility of Police Station 7. (MAP)
