Toboso LGU to require vax card from employees

Teresa D. Ellera

BY DECEMBER 16 this year, employees of the Municipal Government of Toboso will be required to submit their vaccination cards.

If not, they will need to submit a reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test result that shows they are free from coronavirus disease (Covid-19), Mayor Richard Jaojoco said.

Jaojoco, in his social media post, said employees who will not follow his directive will be penalized in accordance with the guidelines set by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).

“No work, no pay policy will be enforced for job order employees which means if they are unvaccinated they will be marked absent for every day that they can't show a negative RT-PCR test results or a vaccination card,” the mayor warned.

"By January 2022, job order employees who remain unvaccinated will not be renewed," he said.

Earlier, Mayor Marxlene Dela Cruz of the neighboring Don Salvador Benedicto town also issued a similar order.
