Town mayor’s brother-in-law arrested in drug bust

THE brother-in-law of Hinigaran town Mayor Jose Nadie Arceo was arrested in a drug bust Wednesday, November 20.

Hinigaran Police Investigator Staff Sergeant Joemark Ariola identified the suspect as Hermino Sevilla alias Milo, 47, and resident of Capino Barangay Anahaw, Hinigaran.

Ariola said that Sevilla is working at the piggery owned by Arceo in the same place but he was arrested outside the piggery where the drug bust transpired.

Sevilla is the brother of Arceo’s wife as confirmed by Hinigaran Police Station Chief Major James Latayon.

Recovered during the drug bust conducted by the Hinigaran police personnel were two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) with estimated weight of two grams and estimated street value of P6,000; P100 bill and cash amounting to P7,920.

Appropriate charges is now being prepared by the police against the suspect.
