A TRICYCLE driver was shot to death by an unidentified assailant at Purok Tahong, Barangay 2, Bacolod City Friday, May 26, 2023.

Police identified the fatality as Christian Escalona, 23, a resident of Purok Mahimulaton, Barangay Banago.

Captain Jonito Pastrana, commander of Police Station 2, said the victim was driving his tricycle along with his live-in partner when an unidentified suspect fired at him and fled.

The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and died on the spot.

Police recovered from the scene of the crime three empty shells of unidentified firearms.

Pastrana said they now have a person of interest, but they are still conducting a thorough investigation to file a case against the suspect.

The police are now coordinating with the family of the victim to determine the motive for the killing of the victim.
