UPV Negrense Alumni Association to hold UPCAT review in Bacolod

IN PREPARATION for the University of the Philippines College Admission Test this coming September, the UPV Negrense Alumni Association (UPVNAA) will hold its third UPCAT Review on July 20 to 21, at Bacolod City National High School.

The review, which is open to all interested Grade 12 students from both private and public schools in Negros who are plan to take the UPCAT, will cover subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, Math, Biology, General Science, Filipino and English.

According to event over-all head and former UPV Negrense president, Ge-Ann Canabal-Ibanez, UPV-Negrense residents and alumni members themselves prepared the materials, and will lecture and assist the participants during the two-day review.

“We will also give participants useful tips and functional techniques on how to ace the exam based on our own experiences,” Ibanez added.

The UPCAT is known as the most competitive annual college entrance exam in the Philippines.

In 2018, out of 103,000 applicants only 14,354 or 13.9% have passed the UPCAT.

The registration fee for the review class is P350 which will cover for the expenses for the kits inclusive of reviewers/questionnaires, ballpens, pencils, IDs, certificate of participation, and lunch for two days.
