A THOROUGH investigation is now underway following the claims of a woman that she was abducted and robbed in Barangay Zone 7, Talisay City, Negros Occidental around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2022.

Stephanie Bonda, 22, of Barangay Hawaiian in Silay City, in the province, told police that she had just alighted from a tricycle supposedly to deposit P15,000 in cash at the automated teller machine of Banco de Oro when a man approached him.

Bonda said the man sprayed something on her face, causing her to feel dizzy before he forced her into a nearby gray van where there were three other men on board.

The victim added that she lost consciousness and when she woke up, she was already in the street at Hacienda Nakab in Barangay Bubog. The suspects left both hands with “X” marks using a blade.

Captain Ramil Bustamante, Talisay City Police Officer-in-charge, said that they are now checking the surveillance cameras in the area where the victim was allegedly robbed and abducted

“We want to know who is behind this and what their motive is,” Bustamante said, adding that they are also not discounting the possibility that the robbery did not really take place.
