Goho: The idiocy of BLM

Michael Goho

IN REALITY, Black Lives Matter (BLM) is a radical leftist movement that ironically invokes racist undertones to its core once investigated more closely.

Back when I was still ill-informed about this subject, I simply presumed that it was about a fight for racial equality and addressing injustice issues towards black people.

I eventually came to realize that its foundations are actually questionable. These are among the many dangers when it is a left-leaning organization led by propaganda-driven leaders who intend on controlling their distorted narrative.

It is unfortunate that many people have bought into it. Many of these oblivious individuals seemingly care about a cause that really isn’t so.

There is a gap from reality, most especially from massively wealthy NBA players or famous black celebrities like Lebron James who have the gall to express fear and victimhood when they earn millions of dollars and live luxurious lifestyles. These elites are simply in no position to lecture the general public about oppression.

While it is true that racism is a sad reality in our world. Racial narratives ought to be removed to prevent further confusion. We simply cannot generalize and compartmentalize groups of people as these only create more division.

Police brutality inevitably exists as well. However, a few bad apples should not tear down an entire force. Law, order and safety are of utmost importance to protect the different communities.

Violence, looting, chaos, and anarchy are undoubtedly condoned disguised as “peaceful protesting.” And presently, a lot of destructive occurrences have taken place. BLM has only worsened all of this. There is simply no excuse for mindless violence. Not all white people are bad, not all black people are good. There is a great deal of injustice on both sides. Ultimately, we need to hold every person accountable regardless of racial components.
