MANILA -- Taal Volcano's activity continues as the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded 12 quakes in the last 24 hours.

The Main Crater Lake's temperature increased slightly from 30.8°C to 31.8°C.

Phivolcs believed magma is reaching the crater due to Taal's recent activity.

Phivolcs has placed Main Crater, Daang Kastila Trail and Mount Tabaro under alert level 2, and advised the locals to stay away from these areas.

According to Phivolcs, "breathing air with high concentration of gases can be lethal to human, animals and even cause damage to vegetation." (Sunnex)
