SIXTEEN coaches from different parts of the Visayas will gather in Bacolod City on Sunday for the six-day Badminton World Federation (BWF) Coach Education Level 1 course to be held at Pohang Badminton Center.

This international certification course also a development program of Badminton Asia and the Philippine Badminton Association.

Spearheaded by Ian Gil Piencenaves, regional development officer of Badminton Asia, the course will focus on the basic coaching principles which include technical, tactical, physical and physical elements of coaching, planning and delivery of progressive coaching sessions.

Moreover, this event aims to implement the development aspect of Badminton Asia 2016-2020 action plan, train more quality and potential coaches as BWF coach level 1 in Visayas region. (HGD)
