BACOLOD United FC outplayed Dynamic Builders FC, 4-1, in the final game to claim the title of the recently-held Negros Occidental Football Association (NOFA) MassKara 9-A-Side Festival at Sta. Maria football field in Talisay City.

Former national team striker Norman Fegidero, who is also the current head coach of the University of St. La Salle, powered Bacolod United with a hat-trick.

Settling for second runner-up is BG Products Manila followed by X-Mail Veterans Football Club of Malaysia, Iloilo FC, Erco Cebu FC, Real Negrense FC and Bacchus FC.

Malaysian Tony Mariadas of X-Mail FC said he is looking to bring two teams next year for this event, citing how the tournament went.

Organizer Dave Javellana added that with how the tournament’s turn out, they are expecting a bigger event in 2019.

“While we often hold tournaments for young players, these friendly games provide the venue for veteran players to enjoy the sport we love and further strengthen partnership with our Asian neighbors,” he said.
