Ceres FC faces Davao Aguilas

Sunnexdesk

CERES Negros FC is bent on extending their dominance in the ongoing Philippines Football League when they face Davao Aguilas at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Both teams are coming off huge victories over JPV Marikina with the Busmen defeating the Marikina side, 4-1, while the star-studded Aguilas overcame the tough challenge from Voltes with a 3-2 escape.

This will be a tough game for Ceres, which is trying to win the match while keeping their players fit and free from injury as they prepare too for Leg-1 of the AFC Cup Zonal semifinals next week against Yangon United FC of Myanmar at Panaad.

Meanwhile, Ilonggo football fans will miss their team, Kaya FC Iloilo, in playing their supposed first home game today against Global Cebu FC after the Philippine Football League informed the Iloilo-based club that Global will not be able to make it to the match.

PFL and Global FC have yet to release an official statement on the issue but, the Ilonggo fans are hoping to see their team play at the Iloilo Sports Complex in the next PFL matches. (HGD)
