Hanah jins haul 19 golds, 13 silvers, 5 bronzes in regional taekwondo tourney

HANAH Taekwondo jins hauled a total of 19 gold medals, 13 silver medals and five bronze medals in the just-concluded Regional Taekwondo Championships held Sunday, July 29, at the SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City.

The Vic Feria-mentored multi-titled team dominated the Kyorugi event with 10 gold medals behind Dondy Santillan, Shanrick Matti, Adrian Galinea, Clyde Gentroles, Marichu Gentroles, Joshua Deita, Ashley Chavez, Christian and Archie Monasque, and Mary Angeline Alcantara, a 2017 World Championship gold medalist.

Winning five silver medals for Hanah in the same event are Zach Olivo, Alexandria Gabrielle Rubica, Luigi Escasinas, Nea Marie Aplasca and Eiran Jett Sumaria.

Settling for bronze are Arthur Monasque, Ethan Chavez, Jeremy Solano, Davon Pecha and Zane Vincent Olivo.

In the Poomsae event, the nine gold medalists are Adrian Galinea, Shanen Matti, Joshua Emmanuel Deita, Auster Burata, Rubica, Rolyn Jan Tolentino and Nea Marie Aplasca for the individual category while Tolentino and Burata for the pair category.

Taking home the 13 silver medals for the individual category are Jonathan Seguera and Clyde Gentroles while Rubica, Deita and Marichu and Clyde Gentroles for the pair. Rubica, Seguera and Deita also won silver medals for the team category. (HGD)
