TAP postpones National Tchoukball C'ships

THE recent outbreak of Covid-19 in the Philippines and around the world forced the Tchoukball Association of the Philippines (TAP) to announce the indefinite postponement of the National Tchoukball Championships 2020 in Iloilo slated on April 21-24, 2020.

According to TAP, the safety and well-being of all participants in the organization's priority. "Given the increasing number of confirmed Covid-19 cases, we have the responsibility to take precautionary measured in accordance with the guideline issued by the authorities," TAP said in a statement.

TAP, further, stressed not to be disheartened but, instead take this opportunity to reach out to its local government in promoting the sport and encourage aspiring tchoukball athletes to play this beautiful game.

The tournament will serve as a qualifying event for scheduled international competitions. (JSG)
