Jonathan Llanes

A CHESS trainer was arrested Sunday afternoon, June 2, after a video of him and his would be victim went viral in social media.

Joint personnel of the Women and Children Protection Desks, Tourists Police Unit, Baguio City Police Office Station 7, City Mobile Force Company and Mobile Patrol Unit arrested Ramsey Laureto Tiwaken, 33, of Ambassador Tublay, Benguet.

Authorities acted on the alleged violation of Republic Act 7610, or the child abuse law reported by two female witnesses and on complaint of a 10-year-old female minor.

In a police report, the witnesses were on board a La Trinidad passenger jitney bound to Baguio City when they noticed the suspect sitting in front is caressing the private part of the victim.

The two witnesses saw again the suspect touching the private part of the same victim and decided to report the incident to authorities.

Police were able to intercept the suspect along Igorot Park and immediately brought him to WCPD for proper documentation.

Police Colonel Allen Rae Co, acting BCPO city director, lauded the two witnesses for their swift action as he vowed to give commendation for their good deeds.
