Benguet’s most wanted arrested

THREE most wanted individuals were arrested by elements of the Benguet Provincial Police Office (BPPO) in different operations last week.

On January 22, joint operatives of Itogon Municipal Police Office, San Fernando City Police Station and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Benguet arrested the number one top most wanted person in the provincial level at San Fabian, Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya.

Jordan Runas Rivera, 25, single and a resident of Tuding, Itogon, Benguet was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Caroline Rojas Juacan of RTC 1st Judicial Region Branch 26 in San Fernando La Union for rape.

On the same day, the second top most wanted person in the provincial level identified as Rico Cadap Totanes, 30, single, farmer, native and resident of Sapid, Mankayan, Benguet was also arrested for rape.

The arrest was done by joint operatives coming from the Mankayan MPS, Regional Intelligence Unit(RIU)14, Benguet Provincial Mobil Force Command(PMFC), Provincial Intelligence Bureau(PIB), and the Regional Intelligence Division(RID) through a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Sergio Angnganay Jr., acting presiding judge of Abatan, Buguias Benguet with a recommended bail bond of P120,000 for rape, and P24,000 for acts of lasciviousness.

On January 25, personnel of the Mankayan MPS, Baguio City Police Office(BCPO) Station 7, Bugias MPS led by Police Senior Inspector Julius Basinga arrested Rannie Cabansi y Palunan aka Rannie Cabance, 22, single, laborer, and resident of Lamag, Quirino, Ilocos Sur for theft.

The arrest was by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Mae Joy Cawed of RTC Branch 4.

In the municipal level, three other persons were also arrested in various arrest operations.

Benguet Provincial Police Director Lyndon Mencio assured their continuous operations against wanted persons in the different areas of the province.
