Fire hits Mankayan town market

SOME 65 stalls were razed at Lepanto Market in Mankayan town, Benguet Sunday morning, January 26. Mankayan Fire Station, in a report, said the cause of the fire at Lepanto Market remains under investigation. Acting on a call from a concerned citizen, Mankayan Fire Station responded to the incident at 11:50 a.m. together with the local government, Buguias Fire Station, Lepanto Consolidated Mining Company Volunteer Fire Brigade, Mankayan Police Station, Mankayan Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, and Community Fire Auxiliary Group of Barangay Poblacion. The fire was immediately suppressed according to fire officers.
