Police nab suspected druggies, gun ban violator

TWO individuals allegedly involved in illegal drugs and a gun ban violator were arrested by authorities last week.

In a drug bust, police recently apprehended a suspected drug trader identified as Jefferson Gay, 29, housekeeping supervisor at Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC).

Operatives of Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) Station 10 and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Cordillera (PDEA-CAR) arrested the suspect in a drug bust at Purok 6 Bakakeng Norte and confiscated three sachets containing suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride), and drug bust money amounting to P3,500.

On the same day, a 19-year-old student drug buyer identified as Joyan Noel Manaligod Aggarao, and a resident of Cataggaman Pardo, Tuguegarao City was caught in Nambaran, Tabuk City, Kalinga by Tabuk City Police Office personnel after a barangay official reported the suspect allegedly seeing Aggarao buying shabu from an unknown pusher at Sitio Ileb, Nambaran.

Recovered from Aggarao’s possession was a small transparent sachet containing suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia.

In Abra Province, a resident of Barangay Patiao, Pennarubia identified as Nelson Bio Zapatero, 35, was arrested in a Commission on Elections checkpoint at Barangay Patiao, Peñarubia, Abra in the afternoon of April 12.

Zapatero was caught by the operatives of the 1501st MC and Penñarubia police in a checkpoint that resulted in the confiscation of his caliber .45 loaded with eight ammunition.
