THE Rotary Club of Metro Baguio and Baguio City Police Office Station 5 joined forces in spearheading a drug awareness and prevention drive at Baguio City National High School.

Organized by the Rotaract Club of Metro Baguio- BCNHS Humadides Chapter, the event dubbed “Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign for the Youth” even enlightened the more than 150 students who attended the seminar about illegal drugs and its negative effect to health.

Facilitated by Police Major and RCMB Rotarian Divina Mencio with PNP Baguio personnel, the seminar specifically focused on the topics such as the School Drug Education underscoring the importance of engaging students in drug education activities and the Impact of Drug Addiction on Mental Health.

Also emphasized to the students are the importance of obeying the authorities and nurturing ones dream by walking away from drugs.

The drug awareness and prevention seminar held on October 3 is one of the priorities of RCMB alongside with more community service activities to help the needy community.

The activity was led by RCMB President Ofelia Villanueva with Past President Feliza Ronquillo, Club Secretary Audrey Sungduan, and Director Amado Mayo.

“We RCMB is very proud to have such a dedicated & true Rotarians especially to Rtn. Divine Mencio of BCPO who helped made the event successful,” Villanueva said.

May this undertaking continue to help the youth avoid drugs.
