Jo Ann Sablad

THE Camiguin Food Products Association (CFPA) in Poblacion, Mambajao, Camiguin has received a food processing shared service facility from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Camiguin Provincial Office.

The CFPA is an industry cluster group which aids in strengthening the processed food industry in this island province while also promoting the interests and concerns of individual members.

It also envisions becoming a catalyst in the progress of the province through the production of globally-competitive and quality food products.

The food processing shared service facility, according to DTI-Camiguin, will help address the gaps and bottlenecks in the value of priority industry clusters.

It can also help gear up a market-driven processed food industry in Camiguin, the agency added.

DTI-Camiguin is in partnership with the CFPA in the processed food cluster development.
