Deadline for renewal of business permits set

Jo Ann Sablad

THE City Finance Department of Cagayan de Oro is urging businessmen in the city to renew their business permits as early as December 2019 to avoid penalties.

Acting Assistant City Treasurer for Operations Leonil Mistula said the deadline for the renewal of business permits is on January 20, 2020.

A 25-percent surcharge and two-percent monthly interest will be imposed on those who fail to renew their permits before or on January 20.

Businessmen may either visit the City Treasurer’s Office or renew their permits online.

Mistula said businessmen should start with the assessment at the kiosks located at the lobby of the said office.

They can also get their assessment from the city’s online billing system by logging in to cagayandeoro.gov.ph.

After the assessment, they can proceed to the cashier or they can also pay using their Visa card via the online payment system on the City Government’s website.

After paying their bills, they can go to the City Tourism Hall where their business permit, license, sanitary permit and Fire Safety Inspection Certificate will be processed.

Meanwhile, for businesses without permits, the City Hall’s Business One-Stop Shop accepts applications.
