Wilcon Depot opens in Opol; offering additional local jobs

HOME improvement and construction supply retailer, Wilcon Depot recently opened its new branch in Opol, Misamis Oriental on July 12, 2019.

Seeing a huge potential and high demand for housing, Wilcon Depot advantageously brought its products and services to the progressive municipality.

Wilcon started its store grand opening celebration with a motorcade along the nearby towns of its new operating store.

The opening event continued at the store with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Wilcon Depot President and Chief Executive Officer Lorraine Belo-Cincochan, along with Philippine Institute of Interior Design Chairman Arch. James Jao, and Misamis Oriental’s local government officials Governor Yevgeny Vicente Emano, Mayor Maximo Seno and Vice Mayor Louie Mark Neri.

Cincochan said that they will always do their best to fulfill their mission which is to help more Filipinos build, improve and refine their homes for a sustainable and comfortable life.

“As we continue to carry our ideals, ‘Building Big Ideas,’ we aspire to make every home ideas and inspirations into reality and envision that every Filipino home is built from home building products and filled with top notch home improvement needs from Wilcon.” she added.

Meanwhile, Misamis Oriental Governor Yevgeny “Bambi” Emano said earlier during his speech that he was glad Wilcon Depot chose to map its other branch in Opol as it did not just add establishments in the province but also provided equal job opportunities to the residents in town.

“Ako malipayon nga gipili sa Wilcon ang pagtukod sailang establishment diri sa Opol tungod kay dili lamang kini makahatag og garbo sa probinsya apan usab sa mga katawhan nga nagapuyo sa maong probinsya nga maka hatag og trabaho kanila.”

The branch has total sales area of over 12,000 square meters that can accommodate thousands of local and international brands that carry full array of extensive and quality home building materials.

Wilcon offers a multitude of services that give customers a convenient shopping experience like free parking spaces, reliable delivery service and tile cutting service among others.

They also provide a service that allows customers in creating their desired 3D layout through computer software with a cost estimate and product list made possible in the Design Hub section inside the store.

By maintaining its uniformity in the interior and exterior of its depot store, Wilcon makes its operations efficient to help the customers shop with convenience.

Wilcon Depot first entered the province on September 2017 and established their first store in Cagayan de Oro City. To date, Wilcon Depot Opol is the 37th provincial branch nationwide.

This year, Wilcon is currently working on additional store expansions in Antipolo, Rizal; Sto. Tomas, Batangas; Calumpit and San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan; Iguig, Cagayan Valley; and Daraga, Albay.

By 2020, Wilcon aims to have a total of 65-strong store network nationwide.
