11 residents infected, 36 recovered from Covid-19 in Oro

ELEVEN residents of Cagayan de Oro have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, all of which were local transmissions, bringing the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the city to 3,757.

Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said of the 11 new local cases, four were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors) and seven local index cases.

Of the 3,757 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 422 were under the returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 3,335 cases were local transmissions.

According to Nery, the 3,335 local cases consist of 186 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs), 1,761 local index cases and 1,386 local cases with link.

Cagayan de Oro has recorded 243 active cases, 42 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city and 201 outpatients.

The city also registered 36 new coronavirus-positive persons who were tagged as "recovered." This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 3,335.

Of the figure, 302 were LSIs, 119 were ROFs, and 2,914 were local cases (community: 2,470; Apors: 444).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 179.
