12 new Covid cases logged in Cagayan de Oro

THE number of new coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro continues to decline as the city logged 12 new local cases, the City Health Office reported.

The cumulative confirmed cases in the city have reached 20,139.

According to the City Health Office, of the 12 new local cases, seven were local index cases, four were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, and one local authorized person outside residence (Apor).

Cagayan de Oro's active cases have also gone down to 595, of which 170 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 423 were outpatients, and two ROFs/LSIs.

The city also registered 51 new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as "recovered." This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 18,708.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city has remained at 836 in total.
