THE new coronavirus disease cases in Cagayan de Oro are still in the hundreds, with the city recording 121 new local cases, bringing the cumulative number of infections to 13,111.

Of the 121 new confirmed cases, 64 were local index cases, 36 were close contacts of previously confirmed cases, six local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), nine Apors with link, and six mortalities.

Cagayan de Oro recorded 1,805 active cases, 538 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, and 1,267 were outpatients.

The city also registered 133 new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as "recovered." This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 10,740.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was now at 566.
