16 Kagay-anons contract coronavirus

THE Cagayan de Oro City Health Office on Saturday, February 13, 2021, reported 16 city residents who tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

This brought the total number of confirmed cases in the city to 3,666.

Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said nine of the 16 new local cases are close contacts of previously confirmed cases, two are authorized persons outside of residence (Apors), and five are local index cases.

Of the 3,666 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 422 are under the returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 3,244 cases are local transmissions.

According to Nery, the 3,244 local cases consist of 186 persons deprived of liberty (PDL), 1,716 local index cases and 1,342 local cases with link.

Cagayan de Oro has recorded 404 active cases, 60 of whom are admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 342 outpatients, and two are ROFs/LSIs.

The city also registered 16 new coronavirus-positive persons who are now tagged as "recovered," bringing the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 3,086.

Of the figure, 301 are LSIs, 118 are ROFs, and 2,667 are local cases (community: 2,252; Apors: 415).

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is at 176.
