2 more Covid-19 patients recover

ANOTHER two patients who had tested positive for the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) tested negative after their repeat result on Friday, April 3, Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) Chief Dr. Jose Chan reported.

Chan said one of them is a resident in Northern Mindanao and the other is a non-resident of the region.

“Mga positive ni kinaadto confirmed nga Covid-19 pero kadugayan pag-repeat sa ilang examination sa ilang throat swab negative na sya so ato nang gi-consider nga recovered,” Chan said during the regular press conference on Covid-19 updates on Saturday, April 4.

At present, there are three Covid-positive patients admitted at the NMMC, Chan said, with all of them still waiting for the result of the repeat examination of their throat swab.

Meanwhile, five persons under investigation (PUIs) have their test results read negative on Friday.

Among the PUIs are the resident from Salay, Misamis Oriental; Lumbia; Lanao del Sur; the masseur who gave a massage to the Covid-positive 71-year-old Kagay-anon; and the patient from Macabalan who was diagnosed with severe acute respiratory illness and died on March 28.

Chan said there are a total of 15 PUIs admitted at the NMMC at present.

They are also waiting for the test result of the PUI resident from Damulog, Bukidnon who died on Friday.
