2019-nCoV task force to put up hygiene facilities in public places

THE Task Force Novel Coronavirus in Cagayan de Oro has ordered all public schools, churches and other establishments in the city to set up hand washing facilities, alcohol and sanitizers.

The mandate also includes putting up information materials about the 2019 n-CoV.

Recently, some malls and business establishments in the city were seen doing the initiative of putting hand sanitizers or alcohols in their entrances free of use to people entering the place.

The Task Force Coronavirus, meanwhile, visited schools to help the teachers and faculty members in explaining to the children the importance of cleanliness, proper hand washing and other measures against coronavirus.

The Barangay Health Emergency Response Team in each barangays in Cagayan de Oro City are also ready to be activated, acting as front liners in their community to identify and trace those who have the travel history in countries affected by the virus.

According to Dr. Lorraine Nery of the City Health Office, who is the head of the Task Force Coronavirus, village monitoring and surveillance is important to ensure the virus is mitigated.
