27 new Covid-19 cases in Cagayan de Oro

THE number of new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Cagayan de Oro has continued to increase as the City Health Office reported 27 residents who tested positive for the virus.

This brought the total number of confirmed infections in the city to 4,439.

According to the City Health Office, of the 27 local cases, 18 were local cases with link, one local authorized person outside residence (Apor) and eight were local index cases.

Of the 4,439 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 435 were under the returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 4,004 cases were local transmissions.

Cagayan de Oro has recorded 286 active cases, 88 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 191 were outpatients, and seven were ROFs/LSIs.

The city also registered 19 new coronavirus-positive persons who were tagged as "recovered," 13 of whom have their repeat swab result turned out negative and six are certified recovered.

This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 3,950.

Of the figure, 304 were LSIs, 122 were ROFs, and 3,524 were local cases.

Cagayan de Oro's recovery rate was at 89 percent.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city was at 203.
